The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions indicators disseminates indicators on sectoral shares of total national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as three indicators of emissions intensity: per capita emissions; emissions per value of agricultural production; and emissions per area of agricultural land.
What the numbers show
Emissions from crops — Emissions Share (CO2eq) (AR5) is currently reported for 200 countries. The highest value is 21.47 % in Philippines; the lowest is -23.26 % in Belarus.
The median across all reporting countries is 1.33 %, and the mean is 2.21 %.
Over the past decade 78 countries rose and 103 fell. The largest increase was in Democratic Republic of the Congo (up 338.1%), and the largest decrease in Ghana (down 1,075.5%).
