IPPU — Emissions Share (CO2) by country
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions indicators disseminates indicators on sectoral shares of total national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as three indicators of emissions intensity: per capita emissions; emissions per value of agricultural production; and emissions per area of agricultural land.
What the numbers show
IPPU — Emissions Share (CO2) is currently reported for 208 countries. The highest value is 100 % in Tokelau; the lowest is -8.58 % in Belarus.
The median across all reporting countries is 4.39 %, and the mean is 6.17 %.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 12.
Over the past decade 97 countries rose and 103 fell. The largest increase was in Congo (up 1,857.1%), and the largest decrease in Belarus (down 221.2%).
