Ethiopia vs Europe: Domestic Wastewater — Emissions (CO2eq) (AR5)
Domestic Wastewater — Emissions (CO2eq) (AR5) over time
- Ethiopia
- Europe
How they compare
Europe currently reports 41,361 kt against 5,187 kt in Ethiopia, a difference of 36,174 kt.
That makes Europe's figure about 8.0 times Ethiopia's.
Across all 31 years both countries report, Europe has been ahead every year.
Ethiopia ranks 12th and Europe ranks 12th of 220 countries.
Europe has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain Emissions from Pre- and Post-Agricultural Production provides estimates of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and related activity data associated with pre- and post-production stages of agrifood systems. The domain includes methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), fluorinated gases (F-gases) and their aggregates expressed in carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2eq). Estimates are computed following Tier 1 methods of the IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (IPCC, 1996; 1997; 2000; 2002; 2006; 2014) and are disseminated annually.
