Malta vs Norway: Greenhouse gas emissions: Regions GHG emissions from power
Greenhouse gas emissions: Regions GHG emissions from power over time
- Malta
- Norway
How they compare
Norway currently reports 1.69 million Tonnes of CO2-equivalent against 737,634 Tonnes of CO2-equivalent in Malta, a difference of 953,256 Tonnes of CO2-equivalent.
That makes Norway's figure about 2.3 times Malta's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 54 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Malta ahead.
Malta ranks 44th and Norway ranks 41st of 47 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Malta averaged higher in 4 and Norway in 2.
Head to head by decade

About this data
This dataset provides indicators on greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in large (TL2) and small (TL3) regions. Data definition and source GHG are estimated by sector of origin at the subnational level using the Emissions Database for Global Atmospheric Research (EDGAR) (Joint Research Centre). See the methodology. Definition of regions Regions are subnational units below national boundaries. OECD countries have two regional levels: large regions (territorial level 2 or TL2) and small regions (territorial level 3 or TL3).
