Caribbean vs Nigeria: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches) over time
- Caribbean
- Nigeria
How they compare
Nigeria currently reports 2.15 kt against 0.6931 kt in Caribbean, a difference of 1.46 kt.
That makes Nigeria's figure about 3.1 times Caribbean's.
The two have swapped places 5 times across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Caribbean ahead.
Caribbean ranks 31st and Nigeria ranks 32nd of 33 groups.
Across the 9 decades both report, Caribbean averaged higher in 4 and Nigeria in 5.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
