Colombia vs Nigeria: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches) over time
- Colombia
- Nigeria
How they compare
Nigeria currently reports 2.15 kt against 2.05 kt in Colombia, a difference of 0.1 kt.
That makes Nigeria's figure about 1.1 times Colombia's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Colombia ahead.
Colombia ranks 33rd and Nigeria ranks 32nd of 199 countries.
Across the 9 decades both report, Colombia averaged higher in 8 and Nigeria in 1.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
