Congo vs Greenland: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches) over time
- Congo
- Greenland
How they compare
Congo currently reports 0.0008 kt against 0.0005 kt in Greenland, a difference of 0.0003 kt.
That makes Congo's figure about 1.6 times Greenland's.
The two have swapped places 8 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Congo ahead.
Congo ranks 173rd and Greenland ranks 175th of 199 countries.
Across the 9 decades both report, Congo averaged higher in 8 and Greenland in 1.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
