Côte d'Ivoire vs Malawi: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches) over time
- Côte d'Ivoire
- Malawi
How they compare
Malawi currently reports 1.47 kt against 0.2154 kt in Côte d'Ivoire, a difference of 1.25 kt.
That makes Malawi's figure about 6.8 times Côte d'Ivoire's.
The two have swapped places 10 times across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Malawi ahead.
Côte d'Ivoire ranks 32nd and Malawi ranks 35th of 33 countries.
Malawi has averaged higher in every one of the 9 decades both report.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
