Martinique vs Polynesia: Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches)
Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches) over time
- Martinique
- Polynesia
How they compare
Polynesia currently reports 0.0019 kt against 0.0017 kt in Martinique, a difference of 0.0002 kt.
That makes Polynesia's figure about 1.1 times Martinique's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Martinique ahead.
Martinique ranks 179th and Polynesia ranks 178th of 218 countries.
Across the 9 decades both report, Martinique averaged higher in 5 and Polynesia in 4.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
