Mauritania vs Namibia: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches) over time
- Mauritania
- Namibia
How they compare
Namibia currently reports 0.02 kt against 0.0179 kt in Mauritania, a difference of 0.0021 kt.
That makes Namibia's figure about 1.1 times Mauritania's.
The two have swapped places 14 times across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Namibia ahead.
Mauritania ranks 145th and Namibia ranks 143rd of 199 countries.
Across the 9 decades both report, Mauritania averaged higher in 4 and Namibia in 4.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
