Oceania vs Spain: Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches)
Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O that leaches) over time
- Oceania
- Spain
How they compare
Oceania currently reports 5.09 kt against 3.34 kt in Spain, a difference of 1.75 kt.
That makes Oceania's figure about 1.5 times Spain's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Spain ahead.
Oceania ranks 30th and Spain ranks 27th of 34 groups.
Across the 9 decades both report, Oceania averaged higher in 5 and Spain in 4.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
