Asia vs OECD: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that) over time
- Asia
- OECD
How they compare
Asia currently reports 132.09 kt against 46.24 kt in OECD, a difference of 85.85 kt.
That makes Asia's figure about 2.9 times OECD's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was OECD ahead.
Asia ranks 1st and OECD ranks 3rd of 20 groups.
Across the 9 decades both report, Asia averaged higher in 7 and OECD in 2.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
