Congo vs Greenland: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that) over time
- Congo
- Greenland
How they compare
Congo currently reports 0.0004 kt against 0.0002 kt in Greenland, a difference of 0.0002 kt.
That makes Congo's figure about 2.0 times Greenland's.
The two have swapped places 8 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Congo ahead.
Congo ranks 172nd and Greenland ranks 175th of 199 countries.
Congo has averaged higher in every one of the 9 decades both report.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
