Italy vs Oceania: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that) over time
- Italy
- Oceania
How they compare
Oceania currently reports 2.26 kt against 1.24 kt in Italy, a difference of 1.02 kt.
That makes Oceania's figure about 1.8 times Italy's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Italy ahead.
Italy ranks 25th and Oceania ranks 28th of 199 countries.
Across the 9 decades both report, Italy averaged higher in 4 and Oceania in 5.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
