Malta vs Polynesia: Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O) … Indirect volatilises
Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O) … Indirect volatilises over time
- Malta
- Polynesia
How they compare
Malta currently reports 0.001 kt against 0.0008 kt in Polynesia, a difference of 0.0002 kt.
That makes Malta's figure about 1.2 times Polynesia's.
The two have swapped places 6 times across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Malta ahead.
Malta ranks 175th and Polynesia ranks 178th of 218 countries.
Malta has averaged higher in every one of the 9 decades both report.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
