Oceania vs Ukraine: Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that)
Nutrient nitrogen N (total) — Indirect emissions (N2O that) over time
- Oceania
- Ukraine
How they compare
Oceania currently reports 2.26 kt against 1.08 kt in Ukraine, a difference of 1.18 kt.
That makes Oceania's figure about 2.1 times Ukraine's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 34 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Ukraine ahead.
Oceania ranks 28th and Ukraine ranks 27th of 33 groups.
Oceania has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Oceania | Ukraine | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1990s | 1.42 kt | 1 kt | 0.4238 kt | Oceania |
| 2000s | 1.97 kt | 0.734 kt | 1.23 kt | Oceania |

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
