Russian Federation vs Viet Nam: Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O) … Indirect volatilises
Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O) … Indirect volatilises over time
- Russian Federation
- Viet Nam
How they compare
Russian Federation currently reports 2.52 kt against 2.13 kt in Viet Nam, a difference of 0.39 kt.
That makes Russian Federation's figure about 1.2 times Viet Nam's.
The two have swapped places 10 times across 34 shared years of data; in 1992 it was Russian Federation ahead.
Russian Federation ranks 18th and Viet Nam ranks 21st of 218 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Russian Federation averaged higher in 4 and Viet Nam in 2.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
