Thailand vs Türkiye: Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O) … Indirect volatilises
Nutrient nitrogen N: Indirect emissions (N2O) … Indirect volatilises over time
- Thailand
- Türkiye
How they compare
Türkiye currently reports 2.71 kt against 2.48 kt in Thailand, a difference of 0.23 kt.
That makes Türkiye's figure about 1.1 times Thailand's.
The two have swapped places 6 times across 65 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Türkiye ahead.
Thailand ranks 19th and Türkiye ranks 16th of 218 countries.
Across the 9 decades both report, Thailand averaged higher in 2 and Türkiye in 7.

About this data
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions from Crops provides estimates of emissions associated with crop processes, namely 1) crop residues, 2) burning of crop residues, and 3) rice cultivation and the application of nitrogen (N) fertilizers, including mineral and chemical fertilizers, to soils. Estimates are computed at Tier 1 following the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National greenhouse gas (GHG) Inventories (IPCC, 2006).
