The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions indicators disseminates indicators on sectoral shares of total national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as three indicators of emissions intensity: per capita emissions; emissions per value of agricultural production; and emissions per area of agricultural land.
What the numbers show
Emissions from crops — Emissions Share (N2O) is currently reported for 200 countries. The highest value is 66.37 % in Bulgaria; the lowest is 0 % in Niue.
The median across all reporting countries is 12.96 %, and the mean is 15.3 %.
Over the past decade 94 countries rose and 100 fell. The largest increase was in Vanuatu (up 462.5%), and the largest decrease in Antigua and Barbuda (down 100.0%).
