The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions indicators disseminates indicators on sectoral shares of total national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as three indicators of emissions intensity: per capita emissions; emissions per value of agricultural production; and emissions per area of agricultural land.
What the numbers show
Emissions on agricultural land — Emissions Share (N2O) is currently reported for 187 countries. The highest value is 104.13 % in Iceland; the lowest is 0 % in Turks and Caicos Islands.
The median across all reporting countries is 75.07 %, and the mean is 68.69 %.
Over the past decade 74 countries rose and 109 fell. The largest increase was in Qatar (up 51.3%), and the largest decrease in Brunei Darussalam (down 73.5%).
