Energy — Emissions Share (CO2) by country
The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions indicators disseminates indicators on sectoral shares of total national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as three indicators of emissions intensity: per capita emissions; emissions per value of agricultural production; and emissions per area of agricultural land.
What the numbers show
Energy — Emissions Share (CO2) is currently reported for 207 countries. The highest value is 221.23 % in Serbia and Montenegro; the lowest is -118.52 % in Fiji.
The median across all reporting countries is 89.93 %, and the mean is 77.39 %.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 2.
Over the past decade 113 countries rose and 88 fell. The largest increase was in Somalia (up 792.2%), and the largest decrease in Belarus (down 229.6%).
