The FAOSTAT domain on Emissions indicators disseminates indicators on sectoral shares of total national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as three indicators of emissions intensity: per capita emissions; emissions per value of agricultural production; and emissions per area of agricultural land.
What the numbers show
Agrifood systems — Emissions Share (N2O) is currently reported for 208 countries. The highest value is 600 % in Mayotte; the lowest is 0 % in Ascension, Saint Helena and Tristan da Cunha.
The median across all reporting countries is 80.5 %, and the mean is 75.81 %.
Over the past decade 90 countries rose and 116 fell. The largest increase was in Netherlands Antilles (former) (up 72.8%), and the largest decrease in Brunei Darussalam (down 73.5%).
